God’s Gift to Us

We are finally getting out of the 2020 slump!! It seems the grass is greener on the other side, the flowers are more fragrant, the trees are rich and full of leaves, the birds are more chipper, the squirrels are a little nuttier, and the breeze is a lot cooler. These are the things (small things) that I would notice during 2020. You see, all of nature was created by God, including yourself. The grass, the flowers, the trees, the birds, the squirrels, and the wind did not get affected by 2020. Life just went on as usual for them. Luke 12:24 (TPT) says, “Take the carefree birds as your example. Do you ever see them worry? They neither grow their own food nor put it in a storehouse for later. Yet God takes care of every one of them, feeding each of them out of the abundance of His love and goodness. Isn’t your life more precious to God than a bird? Be carefree in the care of God!” In other words, YOU MADE IT!! By faith, taking one day at a time and by being safe, we made it through the toughest year of our generation. Luke 12:25-26 (TPT) continues to say, “Does worry add anything to your life? Can it add one more year or even one day? So if worrying adds nothing, but actually subtracts from your life, why would you worry about God’s care of you?” These verses kind of spoke to me because even though I know what it says in the bible, I am human. It’s hard not to worry if there was going to be work, enough money to pay the bills, or even think… When will this all end? I admit, I prayed more and worshiped more but then I realized, this should be our daily relationship with God. The more I prayed and worshiped, I felt more at ease with my situation. All of a sudden, with a clear mind and a full heart, things in life were falling into place. Psalm 104:1-35 (TPT) is another good example that explains God’s goodness and how everything works and is made in its place for its purpose. We are all here for a reason. You were created to be who you are exactly for this generation! Your gifts are your own and God made sure that you are the only one who can provide the gifts and talents you have to those who need it. What am I talking about? Have faith. Believe in yourself. Know that you are capable of doing the impossible.

God’s gift to us is our gifts or talents and we have 365 days a year to perfect it.

Let’s break it down. The grass is made for the small animals to feed off of, the flowers are made to be beautiful in sight but also provide pollen and food for bees and hummingbirds, the trees are made for shade and homes for small animals, the birds were created to pollinate and controls pests, and squirrels are natural gardeners by storing seeds and nuts in the ground and forgetting about it! God created all these with a purpose in mind. Why is it we don’t know our purpose in life? God’s gift to us is our ability to do what we do best. It could be cooking, fixing cars, babysitting, organizing, entrepreneurship, sending out cards to people, event planning, teaching, community service, volunteering somewhere, being artistic (painting, singing, playing an instrument, graphic design), coaching a team, writing/editing, floral arranging, DIYer, etc. You are good at something! God’s gift to us is our gifts or talents and we have 365 days a year to perfect it. These gifts and talents are made to make someone else’s life better, and you get a good return as well. Take the time to see what you are good at. Do not listen to the voices saying you can’t do it, you’re not good enough, you won’t make it anywhere, your ideas are crazy, it’ll never work, you’re always broke – how much is that going to cost, be careful out there, there’s always a better idea than yours out there, and finally, they give you the look of disappointment. All these things are said and done to discourage you from your God-given gift and talent. I honestly didn’t believe I can create a blog but slowly and surely, with my sister’s help, I am here for as long as I can be here. Sometimes, we need to push ourselves to become and be who we long to be in our innermost secret place.

It’s your time! Go out there and start your business! Go open that restaurant! Go travel the world! Create something! Just do somethiiiiing!!! OK, now I’m too excited. Let me calm down. (LOL) The world is changing around us and we need positive results in everything we hear, see, think, and do. These results create a positive circle; it will come back to you. In doing this, our gifts and talents are “paying it forward” to the next person… but that’s another article. 🙂

Have faith. Believe in yourself. Know that you are capable of doing the impossible. And remember, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14 NIV) ❤

Father, thank you for this day and all that you have given us. I pray that you help us discover what we are good at, so we can make someone else’s life better. We know that giving to others is the reason you have created us to do. Thank you for our gifts and talents and the 365 days to perfect them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
